Austrian-born etcher and painter, Luigi Kasimir was born in 1881 in Pettau, a part of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. Kasimir attended the Vienna Academy of Art where he studied under William Unger, who introduced him to the technique of the colored etching.

William Jurian Kaula, working in both watercolors and oils, was renowned for capturing the New England landscape in its true form by allowing the mood of the scene to dictate the tone of the painting, while adding or subtracting details to heighten natural effects. His consistently achieved an illusive gossamer delicacy in his landscapes. 

Anna Elizabeth Keener (Mrs. Louis Raymond Wilton), 1895-1982, a painter, graphic artist, teacher and writer, was born in Flagler, Colorado, growing up in Dalhart, Texas.

Growing up in a genteel family in New York City, Rockwell Kent was a member of the rugged realist school of landscape painters as well as a popular illustrator and printmaker. His 1930 illustrations for 'Moby Dick' are among his most lasting achievements.
