Born in Ballintaylor, County Waterford, Ireland, John O'Shea was a landscape, figure, portrait and fantasy painter whose bold, vibrant work was regarded as relatively modern among his contemporaries.

Born in Sacramento, California, third child of the master grainer for the Southern Pacific Railroad, Otis Oldfield left school in 1906 to apprentice at a local print shop. Next he job-hopped on the railroads from Nevada to Montana and Idaho. He then enrolled in Best's Art School, San Francisco in 1909, working nights as a bellhop at the Argonaut Hotel and the Cliff House.

Robert Jenkins Onderdonk is noted for his landscape and portrait paintings and also for his fine art teaching.

Edmund Osthaus studied at the Dusseldorf Academy until 1882, having been born in Hildesheim, Germany. 

An impressionist landscape painter, carver, etcher and teacher, George Demont Otis maintained studios in Chicago, Colorado and California, living most of his career on the West Coast. 

Landscape painter, pastelist. Born in Sheboygan, WI on Dec. 6, 1871.
