Born in Ontario, Oregon, Phil Paradise was raised in Bakersfield, California.  In the 1920s, he studied at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles and worked for Paramount Studios. He taught art at Chouinard and Scripps College. 

A founder of the Bay Area Figurative School of painting, David Park was leader and teacher in the circle of artists, including Richard Diebenkorn and Elmer Bischoff, who both incorporated and rebelled against Abstract Expressionism as taught by Willem DeKooning and Mark Rothko. 

A part of the resident group of Impressionists called the Giverny Group in the early 20th century, Lawton Parker was among the better known Americans that lived at Giverny near the studio-home of Claude Monet.

ARTIST WORLD RECORD

Douglass Ewell Parshall was born in New York City on November 19, 1899. As a child he began to draw under the guidance of his father, Dewitt.

ARTIST WORLD RECORD

Roi Partridge, printmaker, painter, draftsman and teacher, was born in Centralia, Territory of Washington.  In 1905 his family moved to Kansas City, Missouri where Partridge eventually enrolled in the Fine Art Institute.  

Painter, muralist. Born in Wimbledon, England on Sept. 6, 1876, Pawla came to the U.S. as a boy.
