ARTIST WORLD RECORD

Born in Wrentham, MA on Feb. 23, 1914.

Bradbury studied briefly at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts in 1929 and in 1931 joined the U.S. Navy.

After the Navy he established a studio in Laguna Beach and became active with the local art colony. For a brief period he worked at Disney Studios before opting to devote full time to fine art.

For eight years he had a studio in Honolulu in the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Returning to Laguna, he maintained a studio-home there while teaching art seminars on the Monterey Peninsula.

Bradbury settled there in the 1970s and lived in Carmel until his demise on Jan. 11, 1991. His love of the sea is evident in most of his paintings.

He was the brother of author Ray Bradbury.
