Watercolorist, illustrator.

Born in Halifax, Canada on Feb. 18, 1898.

After serving in WW1, Payzant studied art in England and Canada. In the early 1920s he settled in Los Angeles and continued his studies at the Chouinard Art School.

He worked as commercial artist and was active as an illustrator of children's books at the time of his death on Nov. 24, 1980 in Newport Beach, CA.

Member: Calif. WC Society; American WC Society.

Exhibited: Painters & Sculptors of LA, 1931; Artists Fiesta, LA 1931. CA&A; SCA; DR.
