Painter, etcher.

Born in San Francisco, CA on June 17, 1879.

Charlotte Butler studied at the Mark Hopkins Institute and CSFA under Mathews and Piazzoni.

In 1905 she married artist William L. Skinner. She was a resident of Lone Pine, Inyo County, CA (1932) and San Francisco (1934).

By 1941 she had settled in Morro Bay, CA where she remained until her death on Aug. 19, 1963.

Her work includes landscapes in oil and watercolor as well as etchings.

Member: SF Society of Women Artists; LAAA.

Exhibited: Santa Cruz Statewide, 1928 (Sierras); Oakland Art Gallery, 1928 (The Inyos); SFAA, 1930; Calif. State Fair, 1930 (Mt. Whitney); San Luis Obispo Co. Exhibit, 1956.

Works held: CSL.
