ARTIST WORLD RECORD

Watercolorist. Born in NYC.

By the 1930s Sklar had moved to Los Angeles. She studied at UCLA, and with Millard Sheets and Dong Kingman.

Her works are mostly urban scenes of East LA, old houses, and children at play in opaque watercolors.

Member: Calif. WC Society; Laguna Beach AA; Women Painters of the West; Westwood AA.

Exhibited: Santa Cruz Art League, 1944-46; Alabama WC Society, 1944; Delgado Museum, 1944-54; CPLH, 1945; PAFA, 1953-54; LACMA, 1954, 1955; Butler Art Inst., 1955; many others. PF; California Style; WWAA 1947-66
