Painter, sculptor, mural painter.

He immigrated to the U.S. in 1901. He was in the Pacific in 1922 and settled in Los Angeles upon his return. In 1928 he returned to his original legal name.

Studied: Europe and the Orient.

Member: Archaeological Inst. Am.; Calif. AC.

Exhibited: Mus. New Mexico Inaugural, 1917; LACMA, 1918, 1921, 1928; Salons of Am., 1925; S. Indp. A., 1925; AIC, 1936-37. Work: Biological Mus., Univ. Calif., La Jolla (murals); de Young Mus.(mural); Mus. Archaeology, Santa Fe; LACMA; Bullock's Wilshire, Los Angeles (mural); Golden Gate Park Mus., San Francisco.
